Sitting alone in the middle of a big room full of mess, nothing special, jus another ordinary week end.
Feeling empty n bored, I looked for my relief in the middle of the mess that was surrounding me and ....
“ here is it, I’ve found it”… a happy surprised expression appeared on my face..
“Dil To Pagal hai”:)
I’ve watched this movie before, so I knew that I had to switch my brain off before starting watching it again, I knew I should let myself go n jus enjoy it, I neither had nor I wanted to understand how come everything looked so beautiful n almost perfect ….so, it was terrific, I really enjoyed charming SRK, beautiful maidury, the dances n songs, n dreamt , hoped for three hour to find my “jeevan sati” (soul mate), I believed with all my heart that someone, somewhere is made for me…ohoo, how sweet:)..…
three Hours later , reality was welcoming me , to the empty, but full of mess, to the hot but soo cold room….
Unfortunately, my brain started working again, n the jeevansati theory made no sense to me, the constantly repeated sentence during the movie “someone somewhere is made for u” appeared to be too superficial n absurd…
This movie was a hit, n similar movies were hits too, the company who has produced dil to pagal hai n other formula romances Yash Raj films is one of the richest film production companies in India, in general light unrealistic romance movies do very well in box office, while heavy ones with sad n more realistic endings seldom can perform well …
I jus wonder, Are sentences like “ u r my soul mate”, “ u r the love of my life”, , “ u complete me” jus pure illusion created by novelists, poets, n movies, to make people dream, n thus sell n make more money??
How come lots of actors working in these movies haven’t found their soul mates yet, or apparently they did but got divorced or cheated on them ? Maybe deep inside they wish they were their characters ?
I’ve always dreamt to be an actress cause every time u r a new person, u r someone else, getting in the soul of other characters n becoming them has always fascinated me, but reality is unfortunately waiting our come back to its dull n bitter land, reality is always here to slap us n wake us up, reality is ironically standing there watching our silly dreams with a sarcastic smile on its face…
Love or what lots of people these days like to call some feelings has become like fast food to me, maybe people will find it easier to say 1 2 3 instead of I love u, love has become a word that sells, that drains profit, valentine day is a good example, it is funny how brands from chocolates to perfumes sing love, praise love, incite people to love jus the time to buy their products, n then who really cares….
People actually don’t hav time to love deeply , we hav become tooo greed, n too selfish , we wants lots but refuse to give, we hav been too much bombarded with information thus we don’t find time to sit, think, n cherish what we hav…
I finally don’t know if the soul mate exists, or if someone somewhere is made for each one of us, but if this is true, lucky r the people who hav been gifted deep love, but I’m sure that these people hav understood that Deep love requires non selfishness , mutual respect, understanding, n above all, time….taking time to build real love, giving from ones times to the other, n enjoying doing so…
That is why for those who don’t hav time, 1 2 3 n exchanging gift with a new partner every valentine day is maybe enough;)…
Cheers
